Let's talk about... #Selfie!

The word selfie has been defined as the word of the year, especially after the famous shot taken during the Oscars by actor Bradley Cooper with a bunch of other important celebrities.
This term was first coined during the 1900s; the first selfie was taken by Russian Great-Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna. To help you clearly understand what a selfie is, let me explain in simpler terms: a selfie is a self-portrait photograph taken with a smartphone, a tablet, or a webcam and posted on a social network such as Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. Nowadays, the selfie has become well known around the globe. Every day, thousands of people post one or more pictures of themselves in very different situations or places using hashtags which are referenced using the # symbol. Overall, who doesn't know this term? Or better yet, who has never taken a selfie before? Practically everyone is familiar with the term. From President Obama to Pope Francesco, everyone has fallen in temptation by the alluring selfie. There are also variations of the selfie such as the so-called "usie", the plural of selfie, which involves self-portraits with other people. Who knows what the next selfie style will be?
